How to Draw Goofy – Let’s Get Started!

Step 1

For this first step of our guide on how to draw Goofy, we’ll start with some facial details. Using two rounded lines that connect, you can remove his two eyes that don’t have a line in the middle. Then you can draw two small ovals for your pupils.

The base of his eyes will have another curved line below them, and then you can add another horizontal oval for his nose. Below his nose, you can draw two more rounded lines for the two sections of his snout. Don’t forget to pull some square teeth sticking out from underneath! Then, when you’ve removed these parts, you’re ready to go!

Step 2

Goofy is rarely seen without his signature hat, so this drawing of Goofy definitely wouldn’t be complete without it! You can start this province by drawing two lines above his looks. Then, using some more curvy lines, you can remove his hat falling to the side. As shown in the reference image, he will also have some hair sticking out from the base of his hat. He can also fill his nose with black, leaving a small white oval for the nose to glow.

Step 3

We’ll add a little more to Goody’s smiling mouth in this step of our guide on how to draw Goofy. To do this, you can outline the bottom section of his mouth. Then you can put another outline around that and pull his round tongue inside his mouth. Finish this step by drawing more shapes around his eyes for the sides of his face.

Step 4

We have Goofy in a pretty relaxed pose for this drawing of Goofy, so in this step, we’ll have his face resting on his hand. Like the different definitive Disney qualities, Goofy wears a big white glove. He can use some curved lines for the hand and fingers, as shown in the reference image.

Next, we’ll draw another iconic aspect of Goofy: his thin, floppy ears. He can draw some long skinny shapes that fall from the sides of his head to do this, and you can reposition them if you wish. That’s all for now, so let’s haul on!

Step 5

Now you are ready to start drawing his arms and shoulders in this step of our guide on how to draw Goofy. You can use curved and rounded lines to create the sleeves of the sweater he is wearing, and our reference image will show how to position his arms.

The arm on the left will connect to the hand below his face, while the arm on the right will rest on the table. You can also draw his straps falling from his shoulders in this step. Then he’s ready to add the final details in the next step!

Step 6

We’ll be finishing your drawing of Goofy in this step, leaving you ready to add some colors in the final part. The central aspect that remains to be added will be his second hand, and this will be resting on the table. And also, just like the other hand, this one will be gloved so that you can draw it in a very similar style to the first.

Before moving on to the final step, you can also add some background details or additional elements! It could be fun to draw his friends Mickey and Donald next to him, or you could show what kind of environment Goofy is in. What choice do you make to complete this drawing?

Step 7

The final part of our guide on drawing Goofy will be how to fill in some colors. In our reference image, we opted for the classic color scheme for Goody’s clothing. That means bright orange for his sweater and green and black for his floppy hat.

You can use the reference image as a guide if you want to replicate these colors, but feel free to use any of your own color choices. What colors will you choose, and which of your favorite art mediums will you use to achieve them?
